Lead Pastor

Hi! My name is Pastor Johnny, and I was called by Southside to be their lead pastor in April 2018. Alongside my wife, Allison, and four children: Mylee, Brooklyn, Naomi and Skylar, I love preaching the Word of God, making Christ known, and discipling all that I meet.

I earned a Bachelor’s from the University of Georgia, GO DAWGS, and my Master’s degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I previously served in student ministry, outreach ministry, and primarily as a church planter of M28 Church: Grant Park with the NAMB in Atlanta, GA.

My passion for missions, discipleship, and evangelism fuels our church’s mission to prepare us for all the Lord has for Southside as a part of the Brandon area. I pray that you come and grow in wisdom and understanding of our great God.

Corey Hyers
Associate Pastor

Hi! My name is Corey and I'm the Associate Pastor leading our music here at Southside. After spending over 17 years leading church music, Southside called me to pastor them through song in November and then ordained me in December 2019.

While serving at another local church in the Brandon area, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University. Recently I completed my Masters degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY with a M.Div. in Christian Ministry.

My wife and I have four children: Adina, Gideon, Mical, and Charles Haddon. We love to sing, play, be with the community of faith, and make disciples, not only through song but by teaching the Word of God.
